Hi. Attached are photos of the latest backsaw I finished making recently. The blade is 12" with a 14tpi (-8*) rip tooth. The handle is Tas. Tiger Myrtle. Hope you like it.

Regards; Stewie.

Another beauty! That's very nice, and now I officially hate all you guys that make these gorgeous saw handles :)

I should be receiving a Bowsaw kit I ordered from Wood Joy recently. Glenn left the final shaping & finishing of the wooden frame up to me. I am wondering how you finished your beautiful handle? I have Iwasaki plane floats/files various types & grits of sand paper, micro planes, dremel tool with lots of grinding, sanding, polishing attachments, belt sander with tons of belts.... A guy at Highland Woodworking that has been helpful many times in the past suggested WATCO Teak Oil as the finish for the planes I just made so I bought a can. The "Teak Oil" he explained is a thinned down version of the regular finish. He felt the thinner finish would do better soaking into the hard Purple Heart my planes are made of. I will be finishing the Bowsaw (maple I believe), 4 planes (two with totes) and a wooden Spokeshave (also from Wood Joy, Brazilian Cherry) soon. I also need to redo handles on a bunch of tools (braces, hand crank drills....) I won at auction & restored. I am very curious how you achieved such beautiful results.
