As Yogi would say, "This is deja vu all over again." My second hollow form is pretty much like the first only slightly larger and a little thinner. These are kind of addicting but I want to try a different form next time.

Jeepers, creepers, Don...your first two are far better than mine are after doing it for a few years! These are wonderful in form. Truly good work. Congratulations.

I'm just starting out so am by far not an expert, but I want to chime in here anyway and say that really looks great! I think I'll head out to the shop now. You got me stirred up early this afternoon.

Great looking form--and love the neck. I cannot believe that you are just starting with hollow forms-- You make us look bad! :(

In another thread, Ed Lang was asking how people sanded their turnings. It looks like you could give us all a lesson in finishing! Just like glass! :)

Ed, I am anything but a finishing expert. I simply used my ROS with a 100 grit disk and then sanded by hand with 150, 220, 320, 400, and 600. I just used a buffed Johnson's wax finish, but may redo them in lacquer one of these days.
