pen & pen boxes

Some recent pen & pencil sets and boxes that I made for one of the departments at the local college. They wanted live oak because of all of the trees on the campus. That was a challenge since LO pen blanks are not that common and LO lumber for the pen boxes is even harder to find. But was finally able to locate some and the customer was quite pleased with them. It did result in another order from a different department and at least they don't want live oak.

Bobby, I really like your pens and boxes. I make quite a few pens myself but haven't really tried the box. Are they hard to make?,and what do you use to make the groove for the pens?
