Turned a bunch of bowls for a craft sale I was in last week. This one is about 9" across and about 3 1/2" deep. The rims on this bowl just looks good to me. the lip rolls into a bead and a fillet under the bead cast a slight shadow above the vertical accent into the bowl. The craft show was held at the school I used to teach and coach at. I sold $650 worth of bowls (none to anyone I know but I had a very good location with a lot of traffic). This bowl didn't not sell, but I still like it. C & C always welcome.

Bob,

Very nice. I like everything about it, especially the foot, gives just the right amount of lift for me.

Nice bowl. What's the finish? Utility finish? Nice design.

That's a beautiful bowl. If it were 12", it surely would have been sold first.

Very nice bowl and beautiful piece of wood. You're right, the rim detail really sets it off and gives it that extra look of style.

This is such a beautiful bowl Bob...kind of a cross between functional and "Don't touch it!" With the classic look of walnut, it'll be gone soon!

Thanks everyone. I thought it would sell quickly, but surprisingly I sold two big ones One was 18" and the other around 20" One was slightly spalted and the other had a " sea scape illusion in it. Two others that sold were spalted and the fifth was lime green with gold glitter( lady was Irish and like wood). She wants another one with shamrocks pyroed on the rim.
