I have two PM 90 gap bed lathes and had trouble positioning the banjo close to the headstock so I decided to fill in the gap. This is a photo of what I came up with. It is made of steel and has four leveling screws and two horizontal screws to hold it snug against the lathe ways. It is also bolted to the lathe.

I posted a description of how I built it and a materials list at OWWM.org for anyone who may be interested in making one.
