209402209403209404just some boards from an old garage tear down. My cost was the gas to haul away.209405209406209407209408 A tray for storage and protection of the burners.It looks like one of the joists was Black Cherry? Rafters were made from either ash, or white oak. The last shot is what is left of the FIRST load, I getting ready to get load number three. :D

Tray #2, and #3:209534209535209536209537 All have been delivered. #2 has even had a spill on it, good thing she intends to paint her tray. #3 is mainly Oak, with some Ash included. Just old boards getting a second life...209538209539209540

looks like some nice wood
but why would you want to put wood on a stove top?

i cant tell if you allowed for the bottom to expand and contract. from what i can see, is that you might have issues with it splitting, especially in your climate.

Storage for items that MIGHT scratch a stove's top. This is for when the stove is NOT in use.

Screwhole back at the corners are just regular holes, as along the back. The rest of the side screws sit in slotted holes. One under each handle, and one out on the edge. No glue was used to put the edging on with, just a few screws.
