Here Is a nice size ambrosia bowl that I have been waiting on the new 3520 lathe to get here to turn. I have 3 big blanks this one being the smaller of the 3. I also have several smaller size one too;)
I had My Son to take a few pics while I was turning it.

Here it is after the roughout It measures 13 1/2" X 4 1/4"

I see you have the paint worn off the toolrest already! Has the lathe had a breather since you got it? Ha Ha

Jim, another nice looking bowl! Man you are turning out some great stuff! Pun intended! :) Jeez I don't know what the working life of that lathe is, but at this rate... :)

It's a Powermatic it don't need no stinkin breather! I'm glad you're liking the machine. I'm greener than the wood you're turning...with envy.

It is going to be hard to do anything else in the shop now.
I want to buy one sooooooooooo bad.

Nice bowl and even nicer lathe! Didn't take you long to bang some of the mustard off that tool rest, did it? LOL

Real pretty Jim..now you need to get a coring system so you don't waste all those chips... better to have a couple of smaller bowls than a floor full of chips...
You got a machine that can handle it...
