I monitor several feeds on the Canadian Gov't's surplus website and often submit relatively low-ball bids for items that interest me. Imagine my surprise to find an email today advising me that I had won an auction! :)

It's not quite what I had anticipated being the next bandsaw in my shop but I'll check it out when I get it home and perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised at it's performance. If I decide that it's not what I need I'm confident that I can resell it quickly.

Regards,

Ron

I've always been impressed by the build quality of Swiss tools. Nice acquisition.

I've actually seen posts on my Local CL where people are asking for working or non-working INCA machines and that they will pay cash.

That's encouraging! I'm thinking that what I ultimately want is something that will resaw hardwoods up to 10" but I have a small shop and my work is evolving. I've built boats, beds, tables, stools, cabinets and numerous jigs. My next projects are a complete fireplace surround, hanging tool cabinet with dovetailed sides and drawers, a matched set of bookcases and a couple of veneered machinist tool chests. I also want to build a decent humidor and a couple of other small boxes in the near future. I'll adjust the new saw, run it through the various types of cuts with a new decent blade and see what I think of it. If I don't think it works for me I'll put it up on Ebay, etc. and see what I can get for it.

Ron
