Boxelder Takedown

Last week-end some members of our club took down the remainder of a boxelder that we started on last year after a storm took off a big chunk. The owners recently offered us the standing portion. I recruited my young next door neighbor to do the climbing, since he has been trained by an arborist. He had a great time and we and our club got a great haul of beautifully colored boxelder burl.

Oh my ... do I see some large burls in that lower section? John, looks like a great haul for the club. Look forward to seeing some of that stuff turned! Wowzer.
