I made my first Cryptex for my wife's 60th birthday party. Unfortunately, I only had green wood to work with. This caused a crack after it started drying and put some of the parts out of alignment. Other than that, I'm happy with how it turned out and will probably make more of them - with dry wood.

On most web forums, the name "Bill Smith" is already taken, as it was when I joined Sawmill Creek. So I use an old stage name when I was in a rock band, many decades ago.
