Ken,
that looks to be far superior to other systems for drying wood. Thanks for sharing. Max

Ive been in most of the biggest east coast papers over the years, they dont pay a stringer well enough for me to worry with them. I still always keep a few cameras with me because you never know when something will happen that will be a big payday. I remember an powerline employee used a 110 camera to catch something years ago (cant remember if it was weather related or a plane crash) but he earned over $200k from those shots.

As far as the bowl, just an Oak NE with an oil finish LOL

A little more sanding next time may get rid of that roughness on the inside. :D

Ken, I guess that answers the question of which came first. Great looking NE by the way.

Trying a new drying technique.......

That chick sits there very long and you will be trying a new "dyeing technique" - chicken poop gray!!

I believe in that there statement lies the true "DNA" hahahaha!

Swapping chicks out was easy, keeping my hunting dogs away was not!

Nice little bowl and chick Ken. As for the Tom, I will keep a skew chisel well sharpened. Visited my sister in Conneticut last spring. She had been having trouble with a couple of Toms and a hen that some people in the neighborhood had been feedng. When I saw them in the neighborhood, I went to have a closer look to see what they would do. Darned if they didn't get rather beligerant!

Cell phone pictures aren't much when you are walking backwards, swinging your hat at them with one hand while trying to take a picture with the other, and I admit to backing up a couple hundred yards! They definitely thought they were at the top of the pecking order.:)

Certainly not to be rude here by any means, :D but rather than a new drying technique, wouldn't that be better to buff with?

I think the color would "bleed" if buffing was attempted LOL
