Has anyone made their own extention table for the jet 16-32 sander. I have thought about building a table, and set the sander into the table. I would like to have some extention to the side. That would help when sanding picture frames. Anyone have any ideas. And yes I have done a search. Thanks for any advice,
Paul

Have the sander recede into the table and you have yourself a heck of a space saver.
I do not have one of these but I envision adding some angle iron to the existing base and using that to add hinges allowing you to have a lowerable extension on one two or three sides to support your work. Perhaps add a very small extension around the periphery of the saw in a fixed position giving you a little more support for normal use and hang the hinged extension off that end of that section.

Phil Bumbalough at benchmark has a folding table modification for his 16-32 http://benchmark.20m.com/tools/PmaxSander/toolspmaxsander.html
I have often thought about it for my 22-44

That's a nice setup and exactly what I was envisioning and trying to describe above. Relatively simple in construction.
Now I need a drum sander too but got caught up in articles on building your own. I am so many wanna-do projects behind and am not even getting my hafta-do projects done. *Sigh*
