In case you haven't been paying attention, Doc Keller took top honors in both categories in the first voting round of the Beauty and the Beast contest!

I demand a recount! There is obviously a huge glitch in the voting... No way I even make the top 10 in both categories. I did a mock vote with my wife picking her favorites... I didn't make either of her lists, and I'm married to her! Thanks for the congrats, but I'm here to tell you there's something fishy going on...

Nothing fishy, just great turnings that appeal to a wide variety of people! Congrats.

I am just glad I didn't waste time entering - WAY too many wonderful entries!! Congrats, Keller!! I would note that your wife knows much more about you, and her view might be tainted somewhat.;):D The rest of us see you as a really nice fellow and great woodturner. Oh, to know the truth?!?!?

I've seen all these entries popping up everywhere, but somehow my brain hasn't registered where the contest is...

Can someone help this poor ignorant find the contest entries?

"There is obviously a huge glitch..."

It's a conspiracy. We all figured that if you won both categories you would finally have enough lathe tools that you could stop smuggling surgical instruments out of the hospital...

Congrat Doc, I got to say the honor is well deserved.

Holy Poop! I haven't turned much in the past year due to work demands. I feel like I've been left behind. The level of the work (from a lot of Creekers no less) is astounding, as is the range of designs. I need to get to work to play in this sandbox.

Well, well, well! For those who haven't heard yet.... Doc Keller not only survived the next round of votes down to the top 5 in each catagory...BUT he is still in the lead IN BOTH BEAUTY AND BEAST!!!

Congrats, to the very modest turner!
