I really thought about taking a night off from turning, but the weathers changed, we had a nice day and some storms were rolling in when I got home. It was so nice and cool that I couldn't stand the thought of staying in the house :D .

So this was tonights project.
I found a little strip of a half log of peach wood. It was about 8" long, 3" wide and about 1 1/2" thick. So I decided to go with a NE bowl.
Finished size is 6" x 2 1/2" x 1" x 3/16", finished with BLO and a couple coats of lacquer sanding sealer (I may go over it lightly with steel wool, then buff with ren wax tomorrow).

Kathy, turning that piece took quite a bit of skill level - you are a machine!!!! Very nice work.

very pretty - how did you mount such a thin piece of wood to get the NE? Thanks!
