I'm having fun making lighthouses. This one is modeled after the Cape Hatteras lighthouse and made with Maple and Walnut with Yellowheart for the light. I shaved the rings from 3/4" down to 1/2" to help the speed up the spiral. It is 12" tall and coated with Wipe-on Poly. Now I just need to buy the guts to put inside of it, lol.

Very cool right there! Love lighthouses and climbed the Hatteras light several times. You did great work there!

Very cool! My son has been begging me to make him a lighthouse night light. This may give me the kick in the pants I needed to get it started. Beautiful work for sure!

You'll find that those custom made Fresnel lenses are quite expensive... :D
Cool project. I'm rather fond of lighthouses myself. I'd like to see what you would put inside one.
