Just got my EZ guide, one question

How do you verify that the blade is parallel to the guide. I just realized last night that I have a left sided blade so wasn't able to attach it to the base. I have been reading the manual and just wondered if you just set you saw against the ribs or lip or whatever it is called and took that for parallel. Did I miss something or is it not in the manual.

When I installed my base to my saw, I measured using a ruler, to be sure that the groove of the guide was the same distance of from the blade at the front and back. I used the method of using the same tooth in the blade, that is used for TS alignments.

I don't believe it was covered in the manual, but it can't hurt. :)
