Maple burl HF again

I've been dying my last few pieces lately. So i thought i'd just do something fast and easy. This is what i came up with. Not real hip on the finial, but it does look better in real life. The piece is about 7 x 7 1/2, and just finished with multi coats of rattle can lacquar, waxed and buffed. As always all C&C more that welcome.

Nice job, Steve. I like the shape of the hollow form and the finial and the wood certainly has a lot going on. The piece would have been neither fast nor easy for me. Very well done.

Steve, I like the finial - it seems to flow well from the form, and there is nothing quite like maple burl to make a piece interesting!! Nice work, and a very good job on the form.
