View Full Version : Acacia form/sculpture 'Light Speed'

This little Acacia form is 5" long and finished in a blunt point. It is representative of a particle moving at light speed, the metalised' base is representative of the space its flying through and the finial is representative of space/time in front being warped.(not necessarily correct physics here...)

Pretty cool concept John! I like the form and really like the idea behind the finial! Nice to see something out of the ordinary! Nice work! Thanks for sharing!

Johnny, the spalting does give the form a sense of movement, well done

Johnny, this is an interesting form! Quite honestly, I think I would prefer to see it upright in some manner - of course, I love pedestals and finials, so that is a personal opinion. I like the symbolism, and it seems the way it sits on the base the mass is "weighted" to one side. I suspect that is part of the effect you are after. I like the metal look you have used - very classy looking!
