Hollow form from green Box Elder Maple. 6 1/2 tall by 4/1/2 wide. As usual, artwork by Lanie. This piece had to be rushed as I ruined the previous one ( earlier post) and it was due to be exhibited at our local County Fair. She did well and received awards and lots of positive feedback.. To all those that gave me suggestions on rescuing the earlier piece, many thanks. I ended up carefully removing the finish with Acetone. It came off easier than I had expected, but it had not had too long to cure. Maybe 24 hours. Thanks for looking.

I will have to admit - looks better without the "runny" spots!! Beautiful collaboration!

Love the trout, the form is nice too. Being a flyfisherman for most of my life makes this piece very appealing.

thanks for the compliments. This is a new piece, the rescued one still has to be re painted and fixed.

That's an amazing save... and a good looking hollow form. Did the trout have to be repainted, or did removing the finish do the trick?
