The end result of a major goof up this morning. Glad you all had such fun with it. I did too. I won't go into the efforts it took, but I did retrieve all the bolt, nut & washers! Made a higher finial/lid doohickey and I like the extra height. All's well that ends well! ;) Shedua lumber..sanded to 800 (and does it shine at 800) buffed & a tad of wax. about 8 inches in diameter & 11 inches total height I love these bowls from a board concept pieces I've been making. Using up a lot of leftovers.(this used less than 2bd ft.)

And, I was just getting fond of the chuck base!:(:rolleyes: Nice save, and worth the effort. The taller finial lifted the piece quite a bit - nice work!
