Did I spell that right?
Based on numerous chats with Jim Adkins, I picked up the burn pens he uses on his Indian work. They are Detail Master and I have an Optima I dual so I had to swap the 1/4" headphone style jack with a RCA connector. PJL (Optima maker) will do this for $5 but I've waiting for these for so long that I did it myself...and it works!!
Having a cool burner now and a blah 9" ash bowl, I re-chucked it and added some beads and arrow points. Burned with a flat skew pen. I took a suggestion from Scott Hackler and cranked it up beyond smoking and achieved a cool texture pattern. Colored with archival felt pens.
Tested a new pen kit from CSUSA, the Executive. Some stabilized buckeye burl that was sent by a friend on IAP. Not a bad kit, so I may start carrying them in my inventory. Enough rambling...hurricanes are brewing and we are first up for deployment this month!! C&C used on the next ones!!
