I wonder if they can recommend one over another depending on the type of woodworking done.
I'm pretty happy with my scroll sawing boots, but I could use a new pair for drilling.:D

$194.00 for a pair of Rocky Gore Tex boots? I don't think so! They are WAY too proud of those... And not exactly a premium boot anyway... I like my Hi Techs....

I purchased a pair of boots from Shoe Carnival branded "Beaver Creek" I paid like $35 for them. They have held up like cast iron. I worked on blacktop all day and just about worn the soles down to nothing. The leather tops look like heck but not a hole in them. Best $35 on boots I ever spent.

Kinda odd for Woodcraft to go into the boot bizz but know shoes has a very high profit.

All those boots have black soles , they'd mark up carpet and floors , no WW or cabinet guy should ever wear a black soled boot in a clients house. Bad idea selling boots at Woodcraft anyway.:( Black sole boots even a worst idea:mad: Who's there marketing VP , Or should I say "was" :D

When I buy a new tool, I always say to my spouse "Look, I could be buying shoes!" Now this gives a new meaning to tools... oh wait, they only have them for men!
I too have Beaver Creek... comfortable and good support... I'll keep my cheap pair too, thank you!

Another step on the road to conversion of woodworking from a practical craft to another bragging rights driven 'look what I've got' leisure activity.

Kind of fits with the adverts for power tools now popping up in the mags showing a set jawed, macho but faintly smiling 30 something type resolutely screwing/nailing/routing while wearing two days of stubble and lumberjack shirt.

We've no doubt got only ourselves to blame that the marketing people think that this is what's likely to strike a chord with the average hobby woodworker - as I said before somewhere at least the 'get it done' beaver in a hard hat cliche that used to pop up in cartoons and the like was at least results focused...
