Here is another vase in the series with a curved lip. I also had a suggestion that I make the base 2/3's of the rim size. So I had a 5" rim and made the base 3". I left the wood as is instead of dyeing it. The wife likes it and it does seem more stable than the others for sure.

Another nice one Bernie..........very pretty work.........I still like the scolloped edge more.........that is a pretty combo of woods.

Thanks Roger. I do like the scalloped pieces more. Just another design the LOML came up with along with a suggestion from several turners that PM'd me about the bigger base.

Beautiful work Bernie. Do I see "Elm" written on the bottom?

Thanks again. Pete these are a fun series to make. We are going to start experimenting with some forms when we return from seeing the grandkids. Grandma thinks she has to go.

Tom I forgot to put the woods but the top is Elm and the bottom is maple.

Another fine vase Bernie...and each with it's own character. So what is your wife putting in all of these vases she is requesting?

Nice work Bernie! The rolled lip gives the vase a flower-like quality! Pretty cool effect!

Intersting series Bernie. The variety must make them fun to compare and see how you might tweak the next one. Looking forward to the next version!
