I posted this same question over in general but snce it is being attached to round stuff I thought I would try here as well. I'm making some bracelets for an upcoming craft fair, and wanted to put some wooden premade inlay strips to add interest. My problem is getting the inlay to conform to the circle of the bracelet. Is there some way to make the inlay more pliable? I immediately thought of steaming, but figured that would reduce the inlay to a bunch of tiny pieces. My initial method of application was to stick the inlay onto a piece of painters tape and using contact cement on both sides, put it into the groove. Any help would be greatly appreceated.

How about 15-30 minutes in near boiling water, remove and curl to approx shape, dry and glue....?

a tad of steam and it should bend..go gently around your leg sized curve, then slowly to your bowl size. then install.
