Matt,
I agree - this is cool! Once upon a time, I had seen plans for a box-joint jig that sat atop a mini-router table. I believe that it had cleats on the sides and that it would slide back and forth (this presumes that the sides of the table are parallel). Something like that on a table like this would be even better.
