Believe it or not, these wild colors sell like hot cakes. 12" Cottonwood.

That has some nice color and can see why they sell.

I just picked up some figured maple blanks from Rockler...to go with my growing assortment of "yet to be made into a..." stash..but I think I want to try this. Between my wife and I, I think we have enough dyes to create something funky and fun. Thanks for the inspiration!

Chris, I hope you have fun playing with color. I will forewarn you though, it is one of the fastest ways to ruin a chunk of wood that I have found, so proceed with care.

Very bright and lively colors. I use colors frequently and really enjoy them but there are times when I should have left well enough alone. As long as it is not finished you can change it and I think it's really fun to see what you can create with color. I like that you have mixed the colors. Have fun.

thanks Ian, but there's so much wood waiting to be turned into something that I can afford to screw up a bit...time is all I need, which i can't have it seems
