These are a few of my first coring attempts. Approx 14" Cottonwood. The gallery that carries my work keeps asking for more dyed pieces. Not sure if I like these or not. Just a gentle wash of yellow and blue. Finished with walnut oil & beeswax that I mix myself.

I really like these.........great form on them, and pretty wood. I have never turned cottonwood.........if I remember correctly, some say it can be a bit stringy when wet.

Nice bowls, Ian! Not sure about the green tint, but in person it may look a little better. Of course, I am horribly color blind, so it may not be green at all!:confused:

Really nice work on the cottonwood. I like turning it. I agree with John the color may look better being there.
