Well i havn't had much time latly to do a lot of turning, as i have a bunch of that flat stuff to finish.:( Did manage to get this done. It's a 7 1/2 x 71/2 maple form, with not much figure in it. So i decided to dye it red and see what that would do. the finial is more of the holly i got sitting around just for finials, dyed black using ink, then multi coats of lacquar. I've posted this else where so if you all ready seen it sorry.;)
Thanks and as always your comments are more than welcome Good or bad. That's how i try to get better.

Great form, great flow, excellent work on the finial, and I love the color!!! Steve, I don't see much way to improve on this - a very beautiful piece!

That's a nice looking piece, Steve. How did you do the dying? I've got some poplar with no figure to speak of and have thought about coloring it somehow.

I really like the look of this one Steve. Not too hot on most dye jobs but this is an exception.

Very nice, Steve. Nothing to add to what has already been said, but good work.
