I am in need of vector art or high res. bitmap of a head-on shot of the Wright Brothers Flyer. Must be head on.

Haven't had any success with clip art sources.

Mike not sure you are going to find a head on shot. I am not sure any one would have stood in font of the plane to take the picture little unpredictable.

I wish I could be specific but there is a gov't site that has many original pictures of the Wright Bros in very, very high resolution. I could not locate it with a brief search but it is out there somewhere.

Here's a low res image;

The Library of Congress has original photos. But there was no such thing as high resolution at the time.
Best I could find..

Mike,

This came from the Smithsonian. I engraved it onto a laser tile. Used FotoSketcher to process.

I think that qualifies as high resolution. There are many more at that resolution, but I don't know where to find them.

Thanks to all. Rich, I think I'll use yours. It's for a logo for a model airplane club on their name tags. Everything you guys have posted is better than what they gaveme.

Just for your info, I'm going to use color laser transfer for the name tags instead of engraving as they want some color in the tags but still want a low price.

Larry, Thanks for passing the info on Fotosketcher on. I have been using a handful of actions in PS which do work
well, but take a bit of time to work through.

This is what I have been looking for, for quite a while! Quick, easy and best of all FREE!

Thanks!

Marty

Marty,

I use this quite a lot when I engrave photo tile. I like to use the texture settings to give the tile the look of a photo on canvas.
It also helps to conceal any banding that you may get. Some of detail is lost when these are resized to load here.

Looks good! I just tested a few photos with this and really love it.

Did you make the tile stands? If not do you mind saying where you get them and the frames?

Thanks!

Marty,

I got the stand design from somewhere here on the creek. I cleaned them up a bit and made two different sizes.
The frames came from Colorado Heirloom.

Chuck, both the stands in the cdr's posted above are in this one and it is in version 9 upwards. Check there are two pages.

Hmm... I tried all three files, on two different computers.
The first two (small and mini) just gave me an error saying that I couldn't
open that file. The stands.cdr locked up Corel and the preview looked
corrupted. strange..
