Uh...that's not a Google function. That's a common windows shortcut for Find. Works in just about anything.

What Matt said. As to the i-generation; the early kids actually had to learn how some of this stuff works. The current university population (and I woiks amongst 'em) seem to be primarily 'users'.

Dan - True. But if you press F3 in Chrome, Opera or IE, it launches the search function too. Didn't bother to check Firefox but will assume it performs the same task.

It works in Fire Fox as well.

I did not know about the Ctrl+F but always used the Edit-Find in the menu. Same thing.

Kinda on subject Ctrl+C will copy a highlighted word and Ctrl+V will past the word. I use this all the time.

Did you know about the Google search function CTRL+F thing?

Where I use this the most is on the monthly tool list from Patrick Leach.

Often there is something of interest in a photo that has its description in another section of the list. I search for the .jpg in the list and will find the other listing.
