Another Mini Gloat

An old friend gave me a small amount of old Maple flooring from an old college gym floor. It was put down with old fashioned serrated floor nails. Boy are they fun to get out, but I am saving them as I have a project in mind where they will make it look authentic.

Those look cool! Did/do they have any official uses besides attaching flooring? I can think of a dozen things that shape would be good for. I'm also assuming these aren't sold anymore?

You can get them at HF. They are called Cleat Nails and look exactly like your picture, only not rusty... They are used in the Flooring Nailers you beat on with a hammer.
