It is definitely worth keeping your finger out of!!!:) Very attractive, but a real dust maker for sure. I don't know what it is worth, never having seen one.

This band saw shows up in the 1929 Catalog "C". Nice find there. Look on page 44.

Not saying its a 1929 but its in that time frame. Don't ask the guys on Vintage Machinery for an appraisal. They have a set rule not to give out pricing.

On a PM you might contact Carl Libs (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/members/detail.aspx?id=1457)on that site. He has one. They are refered to as the snow flake band saw.

Other owners are: Martin Butirich (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/members/detail.aspx?id=2055) or Tim Kohout (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/members/detail.aspx?id=1074)

Beautiful saw. I had a boss that picked one up many years ago for $100. It ran but needed some work. I had to make guards for it before anyone else could run it. And we used hardwood dowels for blade guides. It was a lot of fun to me because you were running a peace of history.
