Lens Question

I have searched high and low for a reference for what glue to use on the lens and mirror but have yet to find it. Laserbits sales Loctite 403 for the job. Any other suggestions?

Some one said they used JB weld but that to me seems overkill mine just sits in a holder and screws in.

Yes JB Weld I think would be overkill. It would be kinda hard to change if need be.

I take the ones on the head out to clean a few times a year and have never used any glue, just the set screws.
The others are meant to have a dab of glue to maintain alignment, but a tiny bit of all-purpose clear cement works fine. It's only meant to prevent the screw from loosening from vibration.

This was asked in an earlier thread. My (inexpensive) suggestion was to find some non-ammoniated silicone (window caulk) at the local BORG. Make sure it is non-ammoniated.
