This is my "beast" for the woodturnersamerica contest. I have picked out all of the worm holes with dental tools. Quite time consuming. Good thing it is a small piece - only 1 7/8 by 5 1/4. Finished with tung oil. As always, all C&C are welcome!

Great beast! This is what I thought I would have when I started mine but it turned into my beauty as no worm holes showed up. JP

John, if you bought that piece of wood, you got cheated - only half of it is there!!!:D Very nice bowl, and I do love the worm holes. They really add a lot, particularly with the coloration of this piece. Nice work!

Having cleaned a few worm holes, I appreciated the effort that went into this one. You would think those little buggers would clean up after themselves!

Now that is a cool bowl!! I remember turning something similar a while back and cleaned out all the bug tracks... what a pain, but it sure adds to the character fo the piece! Nice work!!
