I just replaced an X-Axis motor on one of my Epilog Legend 36EXTs.
When diagnosing it they asked if it had a fan by the motor, it didn't.
I looked at my more recent one also (about 3 years old) and it didn't
either.
They said they had upgraded these to have a fan to help keep the
motor cooler. They sent me out a fan for both machines. It was
a quick and easy install.
Not sure how critical it is, or it is a modification for all machines,
but something worth checking out. This was the first I heard of
it and motors don't come cheap! So I thought I'd toss this out.
