We seem to have had a lot of new members join recently, many of whom are in need of CorelDraw training help.

I am an advocate of youtube tutorials provided by several people, most notable Alex Galvez and Roy Brewer of Engraving Concepts. This link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H12FZtOiAWs&feature=related will lead to a large number of tutorials and you can find some on Roy's web site http://www.engravingconcepts.com/

Adobe Illustrator, PhotoPaint, Photo Shop etc. are all available with just a little searching on youtube---and they are free!

Mike thanks for the links. Can use all the Corel help I can get! Perhaps you can help with this one? I need to serialize 1300 parts every month on 1" round anodized aluminum stock with the numbers on an arc going halfway around the aluminum stock. I use Corel Draw X4. Is there a way to do this in X4 in a production environment? i.e. I'd like to laser 250 parts at a time in series without having to manually set up each number individually. Any thoughts?

Mike

I believe you can find the answer to that in Roy Brewer's tutorials. Check his web site at Engraving Concepts. I think it can be done.

Have a look at this print merge video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sjHuVqp-ik). After you set-up your piece and define the shape of the text and everything, you can use the print merge feature and corel will apply your serial number list and preserve any special text formatting you have set up.

For all the things I have gone to youtube for when I didn't know something, this never crossed my mind. Thanks for filling up my evening!
