Some Sweet Gum bowls I turned and sold last month. They were 14 to 16" and I don't rember how deep.
AO, Beal buffed with Trip.,WD and Ren. wax.
C&C wanted.
Thanks.

Sweetgum is one of my favorite woods spalted...even if it can be a pain to turn sometimes.

Your photos are a little out of focus but the finish on these looks great. They are both nice bowls, but personally, I prefer the form you used on the second bowl on something smaller.

Thanks for sharing.

WOW, those are really nice looking. I like sweet gum too, but never been able to find any spalted. I'll surely keep an eye out for that. Love the color.

Beautiful stuff! I prefer the first two forms over the third... The proportions just look better to me on the shorter forms. Fantastic finish and great curves! Congrats on the sales!

Nice work, Bobby, and like Keller, I prefer the first two for the same reasons. I think the problem with the pics is not so much out of focus, but lack of depth of field on the pics. Not all of the bowl is in focus. If you can use a smaller aperture, it should give you more consistent focus.

Nice looking bowl. Ditto on #1 and #2.

Nice BIG bowls! Also prefer the shallower ones.

Great work Bobby! Some nice finish work, on the wagon about favorites...1 & 2. 3's wood really is nice though!

Great looking bowls Bobby. There is a lot of it where I live in Delaware but have yet to turn any of it.
