Well, my christmas present from stepson arrived yesterday. I drove over and picked up my Limited Edition New Yankee Workshp Delta Unisaw with the 52" Unifence. Son has bought himself a new Powematic (he only has the best stuff) for his shop and passed on the Unisaw to me. I've coveted the Delta since college but never afforded one. Have to spend some time getting things assembled and adjusted and a day wiring in that 220 line but I'm going to like this thing. I've used it a number of times at his place and that 3 HP motor really makes the dust fly.

Jerry, enjoy your saw, I don't know that your stepson made out on the better end of the deal. I have the Unisaw and feel it would be hard to improve on. Who does everone imitate, even Powermatic, the Delta Unisaw.

Forsooth, Frank, if you've seen one Unisaw they are all alike ;)

Once I get it set up I'll post something. Right now it's a pile of parts (saw, extension, Unifence, rolling stand) and I have some serious wiring to accomplish bringing 220 over to the other side of the garage. That means takingout some dry wall sections carefully so I can reinstall them and pulling 12AGW.

wellll, OK, you insisted, ;) but it's still a WIP. Befor I can assemble it I had to make a couple of these internal frame wedge nuts to fix the table support to the saw cradle

now I can add the saw and Unifence rail system

BTW, wasn't there a string recently about that damn swiveling wheel and how to keep it straight?
