Spent a little more time at the old ... er ... new lathe this weekend.

Made up this set of generic old "Made In USA" socketed bench chisels.

Everybody note the nice Stanley-esque styling? :D

Also put a new handle on this hefty Ohio Tools Co. Firmer. Trust me, the handle is NOT too heavy. That blade is nearly 1/2" inch thick just below the socket.

Note: The blades in all these pics still need a wee bit of tidying up, plus sharpening, but I was just dying to share with y'all.

Those turned out nice. You are going to have to get some of those on eBay and see what they will bring ;)

Really excellent work oh chisel meister.
It's great to see these old greats brought back to life...even without the orange plastic. ;)

They are lookin like my new Lie Neilsen's.....how do you get the metal so bright and shiney?
