I made this one for my sister in-law. The limb crotch came out of her yard. She doen't know anything about it and should be surprized.

4 1/2" tall x 5 1/4" wide. Finished with 3 coats of lacquer, knocked down and Ren wax. Left a lot more chunky than I am used to doing but she would appreciate the heft more than a dainty little thing. Has nice figure on both sides.

Comments are always welcome. Thanks.

Scott,
I absolutely love Locust and I like very much thick bowls. I find it soothing when you pickup a thick vessel. It feels different. I would also like to see more pictures(closeup of the rim, a shot if the inside and the bottom too).
I have always tried to show as many attributes of my piece as possible, and in your case, this piece deserves more pictures. It is very nice.
Great Job!

That's just thin enough! Really nice figure, too.

I really got to stop taking pictures so late at night and posting them. I just took these additional photos for Paulo and noticed that I hadn't color corrected the first one! Oooops. Anyway, these pictures are spot on for reall life color and a darn close to the pot as I held it up to the screen!

My photo tent skills are getting better but I still need a lot of "trial and error" practice!

I am really happy you took the time to take more pictures of it. It is exactly what a thought! A great piece. I love the thickness of it. On the closeup picture of the rim you can see a great transition from the curve to the inside. Great job my friend. I am truly impressed. The color is phenomenal. Locust... what a wood......
Thanks for taking the time and adding more pics.
