Someone dumped and ran leaving behind this lil score behind my shop. They thought they were being sneaky, I thought they were being generous. This stuff has burls all over it. Some of the pieces are over 4 feet in diameter.

Great gloat. That will keep you busy for a while. Hope you get a bunch roughed out while green, I bet that stuff will get pretty hard when dry

left at the shop, a mystry, i have heard of people running when they break in, but running after leaving gifts, great gloat, do you think the heat got to them,?

Nice! Does Eucalypt grow well over there?

Looks like Redgum which tends to grow in arid areas and close to rivers here in Australia. We use it for firewood as it produces nice coals and has a longer burn time. Splits when drying so seal the end grain now and is a reasonably hard wood. If it is Redgum the dust will irritate your lungs etc so respiratory precautions a must.
