Anyone done this or know anyone who did this? This company offers a replacement helical cutterhead for jointers. I think it is very pricey but extremely attractive to me.. These heads on the larger machines that I have seen work very well! Ease of blade replacement is great too.

Chris, just did that myself! Check out: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=16911&highlight=shelixI would, however, go directly to Byrd Tools and do the transaction directly through them. A bit more $$, but you'll be talking to someone who knows substantially more than they do at the vendor you're looking at. (DAMHIKT! )Just MHO....:)

After reading about John's shelix, I checked out the sunhill helical cutterhead for my soon to be coming Oliver, and the shelix was a few dollars
less. Jim
