I finally took time to take a couple of pictures of my BD present from my wife! :D These came out of the box scary sharp and do they hold an edge! Doug was a pleasure to work with - easy to talk to and had the gouges on my porch in two days! These tools are great: 5/8 15v bowl gouge, 1/2 spindle, 3/8 detail. The handle and weights are great also. Not knowing that they already had buckshot in them I opend one up and about 1" of very small buckshot ended up in my carpet before I could get the cap back in!:o:):):D:D
For the first time I turned the outside of a bowl and made a single very smooth final cut which will require very little sanding:D

Congrats and Happy Birthday! I had to laugh when you meantioned the shot falling out of the bottom. In St Paul I was standing at Doug's booth eyeballing the handles and thought it was nessesary to unscrew the cap on the bottom! DERR! I had shot all over the table and was trying to get it all scooped back up before Doug saw the moron mistake! I don't think he saw it as his wife Pat ran interferance! lol

That is pretty awesome Keith. Doug is a great guy and IMHO produces the best tool for the money on the market. Enjoy.

You are going to love the handles (and the tools of course). Myself, I remove the tools from the handles prior to sharpening and that makes the job so much easier.
