Hi, I have a can of Butcher's Boston Polish wax. It's about 10 years old, and I was wondering if anyone knows if it has silicone in it?
I found the msds online, but no mention of silicone or even of wax! only the solvents.

I'd like to know if I can use it on plane bottoms, both wood and iron, and saw plates. Most of my finishing is Watco or Shellac, but occasionally milk paint.

Thanks,

Pete

An e-mail response from their customer service indicates no silicone or beeswax, only carnauba and paraffin waxes.
I use the paraffin ( Gulfwax from the grocery store) on plane bottoms.
