A friend of mine has an old 14" RAS at the family farm's saw mill. They need a new blade. Who is the goto guy to get a blade for this sucker?

Try Charles Schmidt or Forest City. Check your arbor size.

The "Bay" currently has (2) 14" Onsrud miter blade listings (http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=onsrud+14%22+mtr&_sacat=0&_odkw=onsrud+14%22&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313) with 1" bore....currently $30 with free shipping and no bidders. They're German made industrial caliber blades.

We use Amana RAS blades at work and they seem to do well in a production environment. They make a 14" blade with a 1" arbor we get from our local Amana dealer, which happens to be be CT saw and tool in my area. I use one on my home saw that I bought from Wolfe Machinery who rebuilds the old DeWalt saws and stocks parts, its an odd brand named "Popular", works great and its pretty quiet for a bigger RAS blade on start up and wind down. You can call them to order blades and parts, the web site is info only.
