In this latest issue of the American Woodturner, Sara Robinson has a great article on spalting - and, as an example, she included a turning by our very own Dick Wilson (page 49). Congrats Dick!

For you guys that get the hard copy, it is available online, as well. I just get the online version and they send an email telling me it is viewable.

Thanks John. It blew me away when Betty Scarpino e-mailed me to see if she could include my pic in the Journal. Duhhh! This is one of the pieces I posted under the "Burn Barrel Resurrection" series. I re-visited it a number of times, putting it back on the lathe and started from scratch. I don't know how thick the wall ended up but I don't think it had another turn in it:eek:.

Too be honest with everyone, it is by far not my best work.

Hi John, I originally turned it before the GRWT began. I'm sure I had it in Portage.

Congratulations, Dick. I instantly recognized the bowl from your earlier post when I saw the article. Whether it is your best work or not, that says something about your design! Way to go.

Thanks everyone. Now I have to figure out how to get a pic in the Journal or a piece that I am fired up about and really like.:D:D:D
