I was cleaning out a garage for this guy and he said I could keep anything I
wanted. I think I found some pretty good old tools. Any input would be
welcome. The mitre box is goodell pratt. It is complete with all original screws,
brackets, gauge rods and nice backsaw. The saw is a little rusty but straight
and sharp. The disston D-15 is in very good condition. Only one bad rust spot
near the handle. I believe it is a pre 1947. It is the sharpest saw I've ever seen.
It doesn't seem to have been used much at all. Tell me what you think. Thanks

WOW! Nice haul! A few of those tools sell for pretty good money, so you did VERY well getting it all for just cleaning a garage.
Blood and Gore would be a good place to check to date the Stanley stuff, and you'd be able to check the date of the D15 at Disstonian Institute.
Totally jealous!

Thanks for the comments guys. The garage cleanout was a fantastic deal. I was also paid $200.00 bucks to do it.
I'm going to post the tools in the smc classifieds as soon as I figure out a decent price. Whoever buys them will be
getting a good deal. Watch for them soon. Thanks, Melvin
