I bought some under-mount soft-close drawer slides. I have about 20 sets to install on face frame cabinets. I bought the rear mount brackets for the slides. I made some fixtures to help the install but have some questions.
This is how I installed the first one. I first attached the rear bracket to the slide, then screwed it at the front, put a spacer stick on the side of the slide toward the rear (to offset it from the cabinet side as much as the ff does), and used a story stick the level the slide at the rear. Here is what I found:
1) It is a little difficult to apply the rear bracket screws with the slide attached, but, having the bracket attached makes leveling the slide easier.
2) The brackets have a plastic piece that attaches to the slide. Once screwed in it allows the slide to pivot a little. I see this as a good and possible bad thing - will allow the slides to move and fit the drawer at the rear?
Just wanted some expert feedback because I know some just use side spacers and screw into the side at the rear.
Thanks,
Mike
