Our local guild sent out an email about an elderly gentleman who had a Maple blow down in a storm and offered it to whomever wanted it. Fellow Creeker Rob S and I, feeling it our civic duty, answered the call and spent the morning cutting and Anchorsealing the haul. To our pleasant surprise, the whole thing was curly...from top to bottom. This is about a quarter of it, Rob has more and the official Creeker visit photo.

Hard to beat a truck full of free maple...especially curly. Look forward to seeing what you make from it.

Actually Mike, we work together, so we have Creeker visits daily :)

Haven't seen any birdseye yet, just curly. Have a few Spalted curly crotch pieces.

I don't know about Nate, but I was soaked in sweat most of the day. I did the cutting, I let him do the heavy hauling. :D
