Powermatic 60HH Jointer - Buyer Beware?

I have an opportunity to pick up a "new" Powermatic 60HH jointer for $1300. The guy claims that it's on the skid and has never been used. I was thinking of picking up one of the spiral head Grizzlys in about a year, but this is pretty tempting. This sounds like too good of a deal. What am I missing?

i think they go for about $2000 so that seems like a fair deal. I have bought stuff still unpacked and pay 1/2 to 2/3 new. There isn't a big advantage to a byrd vs other helicals on a jointer. If you can go see it, bring a straight edge and check the tables and fence for flat. I would always take a jointer I can check out the tables on to one that is sight unseen. Dave
